Shiny gold things...
JUST yesterday i transferred some funds around so i could pay off one card that only had a $600 balance. felt pretty darn good about that i must say. arguing amongst my selves on which card to attack with vigor. anyway, as i'm leaving for work this morning, what do you suppose is in MY mailbox?
an offer for an American Express Gold Card.
LMAO. have no worries, it's suitable for lining the hamster cage now but boy for just a second did i say OOOOOOO, cuz it even came with a cheapie thin plastic fake card!!! anyway, i just found the timing ironic. it's like you pay off a card and an alarm goes off somewhere......

I'm the same way. I'll throw them away but at the same time there's just this tiny moment of "ooooo!"

Think of all the power we have everytime we shred those offers? and yes, there is a bell that goes off some place in the universe when a credit card is paid off!! Congrats!!

I got one of those today too.
What is the good of putting your name on the list for no card offers if they don't have to follow the list??? I am NOT supposed to be getting them. And they would be the LAST one I would use as they have an annual fee.............oh, this one allowed "the first year' free....yeah, right!!
Way to go for tearing it up............and paying off the other.

I get Bank of Hell offers at least 3 times a week.
What a waste of a tree and the poor animals that once had a home in it.

I can't remember the last time we got a credit card offer. What the heck. Am I not good enough?

side note (sorry!) - many years ago my husband of the time and i collected ALL the credit card offers we rec'd over the course of the year, plus any my daughter rec'd, plus her "brother" Daniel (she didn't HAVE a brother, but we got offers none the less!). New Years Eve we three sat down and opened them all and tallied them up, and i don't recall the exact number but it was something insane like over $750,000 for us and well over $100k for my daughter and her "brother" who was just entering high school!
