Great list! My brain was already trying to come up with substitutions. For instance, toilet lid/seat could be made of wood, just watch out for splinters 'cause they probably wont be able to make wood-protectant anymore. I have no clue what goes into wood protectant but I'm guessing some oil/petroleum is involved.
Now I want to see the 6,000 list, not this 144 one, have been googling for it.

We'll stock up on trash bags and try to reuse them as much as possible. As far as the other products, make your own ,reuse or try to buy homemade or organic. Some things, however, you just have to buy. Just try to extend the life of these as much as possible. Also Ebay can get you previously owned items such as clothing, shoes etc.

IMO, this is all greed. How else can they "predict" $5 a gallon? They aren't predicting anything. They are telling us that is what they will be charging. So guess what? I'm going to get greedy with my money. Until I get called back to work, my car is sitting in the drive with a full tank of gas unless I absolutely have to go somewhere. We have a motorcycle to ride for those quick trips into town as long as there is no snow/ice on the roads if needed. We live in the country also and the nearest town is 12 miles away. I have a 5 speed which gets great gas mileage already. Now it will get greater gas mileage. If you need to do any shopping check the internet first and see if you can do it online. Let someone else pay the gas, I'm sure rates will go up but at least the wear and tear will not be on your vehicle. Grow your own veggies if you don't already. This will help. I think we will be seeing a big increase in home gardening this year.
