Fallen off the wagon
I fell off hard this month. My misc savings is all spend, my small ef is down to 350. All on poorly planned purchases, I got dd a trampoline and Easter stuff had the money set aside for it so not really a problem but still had to take a bit from my chequing account to cover some. I should be reimbursed half of both by her dad. Then I went and shelled out near 100$ on skin care products, went over on my groceries this week by 35$ because I want to eat healthy. I didn't buy any Packaged or frozen food. Tons of fresh fruits and veggie. Needed gas again and then got home and check my account and had .04 cents left in it! Going to town tonight to look for a Easter dress for dd, how do you get back on the wagon! Im going to call this month a bad but okay month ONLY if I can get my small ef back to 500, and finish off my 5000 ef.

All you can do is get up, brush yourself off and tell yourself to get back where you were. You did it before and you can do it again.

And then do like Russ said - and start over.
If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.
Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

Sounds like my month!!
We know what we did to go over budget (skin care, grocerires [I bought everything organic to see what it would cost and granted, some things I won't need next tim so they won't be bought until time has passed] and other spenditures). Time to put the debit card away and rely on cash and cash only!
Good luck to us both LOL

Yup, hate to say it, but been there, done that and shall succeed.
Now, just a question - does your DD really need a new dress for Easter? Never understood it when I was growing u and needed a new Easter outfit every year. Never did for DD and we were all really happy at Easter - sunrise service, Easterr egg hunt, etc.Travel light. The baggage of the past can only hold you back.
