My snowball melted a bit.
Everything was humming along nice and smooth with the snowball etc.
Then prices raised for utilities, gasoline, food ,you know the essentials, and now 65% of Hubby's take home pay for debt repayment ( including mortgage) feels like to much. So we are cutting the snowball down. It is still above the minimum but it will take longer to pay it all off if there isn't a windfall. Still will throw snowflakes at tit when we can.
I'm saddened by this but have to remember it isn't and all or nothing thing. A littler snowball is better no snowball and definitely better then adding new debt"Everyday as your walking down the street, everybody that you met has an original point of view" -Arthur PBS

Us too. Our budget just doesn't fit the food costs. At least the consumer debt is decreasing.

I think many are riding on the same snow train.
With this economy something has to give.....let's just
hope it gets better.
In the meantime, hang in there....we are right there with you.

Same here. We had to reduce our snowball too. In this economy, it feel a little more secure to have 'cash'.
The only comfort is we can manage to pay unexpected expenses (such as car repairs) in cash. As long as there is no increase of cc balance, I am fine with that it will take longer to pay off.

I think most of our snowballs have gotten smaller lately, with gas/food/everything increases. You just do what you can do, within reason, and remember to be greatful you are in the position to do any (at least, this is what I keep reminding myself and hubby). Every little bit helps!
