November's "Wasted" Money

$245 to the vet today, for Olivia and the pups. I got flea/tick prevention for Olivia, as well as a prescription for Clavamox, after finding a weird bump on her the other day. The vet thinks it might be infected, so Liv's on antibiotic for ten days. I also had her heartworm-tested (neg - yea!!) and got her on heartworm protection, some shot that lasts six months.

The puppies got their first series of shots, the second series to be administered in three weeks. Don't know if I'll still have them then, but I am going to try to hang on to them until then, since the first series doesn't really give them immunity, and the second does. I just really don't want to take them to the county and have them get distemper or parvo!

$4 in fines at the library today for 4 movies, 1 day late each. First overdue fines in 1.5 year membership! Can't believe I dropped the ball on that one, I'm usually soooo good.

No wasted money today. Did well this month. Only wasted $5.34.

Well, I did WORSE this month than last, so all I can do is shrug it off and hope for better self-control NEXT month! Here is the thread for December, for any of us who are masochistic enough to keep documenting our spending!

December's "Wasted" Money

Just to update Nov's wasted money - vacation wasn't too bad. We did eat out often as anticipated but thats what you do when you're visiting family and there's too many to cook for. I can't get over how 'reasonable' eating out is down in the US vs Canada! What we'd budget for the Canadian side, we barely used half down in the US - go figure - and it wasn't all fast food/junk.

We did go to the casino so that could be seen as 'wasted' money as well but I put about $40 into the slots and left with about $500

so not a real waste if you ask me.

DH & I had great luck at the slots this trip which in turned paid for DH's parents "Christmas Gift"

Saved us on shipping fees and guessing games to boot!

As for shopping - I spent about $50 on body washes and state university clothing as a souvenir.

Today was a 'home' day here, doing laundry and catching up on sleep. No wasted money

Total of wasted Nov money - $443.25

Let's see how well I can do in December
