November's "Wasted" Money
What did you buy just because you wanted it, not because you needed it? How much money did you spend on little luxuries, or googaws, or fast food, that could have gone toward savings, debt reduction, or other things that could change the quality of your life in a material way?
If your purchase just fulfilled a want, if it provided a transient happiness, if it was something you feel you have to "justify" afterward, then this is the accountability thread for you.
Just a little place to maintain our awareness of where all that money goes (or doesn't go). I did HORRIBLY last month, and am hoping to keep my money waste down to $300 or less this month. (And here I go, justifying, because I am going to say that I am going to keep it at $300 because I am buying food, toys, etc. for my foster dog and her rapidly growing litter of seven!) Thanks madhen for starting this again!
I guess I would have to say I wasted $2.16 today at Goodwill. .99 for a flower pot because it matches one I already have (it has Herbs stencilled on it) and I will use one for my parsley and one for my basil on my kitchen windowsill and the other .99 was for a Quilted Christmas tablerunnerthat I loved. The rest was tax.
Not a good start to the month.

My 'leak' is eating out/picking up a drink while out
I'd like to say that I hope it doesn't add up to much this month however we're going on a vacation which in turn requires you to eat out

Yesterday, I was buying some groceries, after doing a master list of what I already have here stocked up. Trying to fill in the holes. Got some real good deals.
Had a few minutes and decided to stop into the thrift shop. Just looking around and trying to not let anything fall into the cart.
I found 2 baskets that I can use in the spring at the market for display purposes on the table for produce. I was guessing a dollar each and he rang them up at .75 each. I guess I could have passed on them, but really hard for me to turn down a basket that had a cutout on it, that says Farmers Market.--------My signature--------

Put the frog in pot, turn up the heat real slow, and the frog doesn't hop out. And by the time he realizes, he should , it's too late... think about it.
