oh yeah, & no car payments!
we bought my van outright!
Also will be buying Dh a used gas friendly car soon as DS will soon be driving ~ but he'll be driving DH's truck that is from 1999 which means he will be driving himself to school & back at 5:30 am & 4:30 pm instead of us doing it... I LOVE that!!!
& since he will only be in our little bitty town rather than driving in one of the bigger towns.. yeah I feel better about that!
KimWaiting is teaching me to lean on Jesus that much harder!!!
Married 5 years to the man of my dreams!
Planning on adopting!!!

I have a job i like (been there for over 4 years) with really good benefits.
I have very little debt. Just one credit card with a low balance.
Money in savings !

I am sooooo enjoying this thread. We all run into problems, but this forum is excellent in giving solid advice and encouragement. What a joy to read all of these success stories! Some of us are further up the road of life than others, but we're all on the same road. Thanks for sharing your story.

I am on track to have my credit cards paid back before my student loans go into repayment in January - little by little my snowball grows!
On top of that, I have a job I love with a secure future and good salary. I feel very blessed!

I am fortunate to be earning a good hourly rate while working on an 8 month project. I am using the $$ to pay down debt, build a stockpile, and prepare for any future unemployment.

Short term goals:
- $2,000: to set up my consulting business. DONE!
INVESTED ANOTHER $5000!
- $4,000: down payment gift to daughter to bring her down payment on a house to 20% and avoid PMI. ON HOLD.... her offer wasn't accepted...
- $1,500: pay off Student loan ALMOST THERE!
- $1,200: pay off credit card (was disputing with creditor (ALL PREDATORY FEES charged on ZERO BALANCE), but I'm giving up the fight to make this go away...) PUT OFF till June/July
- $11,600: Pay off Cornerstone car loan by end of May 2011 DONE
- Complete tax returns by February 15th DONE
Long term goals:
Continue to follow a modified Dave Ramsey plan to pay off debt. Progress has been made, but there is much to do...
