*sigh* I don't think I like this game anymore. j/k

It's Wednesday, my day to run around...

We also eat out, even though it's a planned expense, it's still a waste. So, $12. for 4 of us at Subway.

I bought lights to decorate the outside of the house... $30.

Gingerbread cookies, just because they are the same kind my Mom bought me as a kid. $2.

So, yeah. Next Wednesday is the last day of school until after the holidays. I'm hoping to stay put, but probably not as my entire family is coming.

    ^scratch that...we have a mortgage now.

Spent $10 on some candy I REALLY don't need (but it had nuts, caramel, and chocolate in it, which are three of the basic food groups for me).

Spent $30 on more puppy pee pads. The pups are going to the county in two weeks, so I am hoping the pee pads hold out until then!

spent $20 on ornaments at Target over the weekend. Son wanted them, I could have done without.

He now wants lights to decorate. Told him to use his own money.

Had to pay for a naturopath visit and test. Not wasted money, but not money that was originally in the budget either.

Worked an overnight shift last night and splurged (read: wasted) about $3.50 on coffee. But it was worth it! Showed up at work to a full waiting room.

Spent $4.09 for a coffee at SB yesterday, while sitting in the airport and waiting for my plane. I brought coffee from home, but had finished it and was bored, so bought one more for something to do than out of any need for caffeine.

Dec. 9 - $0 wasted money. But you just wait till tomorrow! Then it's time to buy meat...and I've been told it has to be grass fed, preferably organic.

Ugh, stopped at Starbucks while running errands yesterday, $4.35 gone.

On the flip side, stopped at Dick's to look at tennis raquets and really would have liked to buy one right then. Instead came home and cashed in point for a $15 off $75 purchase and will pick up Dick's gift cards at Giant Eagle where they are offering $0.20 fuel perks on GC purchases right now. Every little bit helps, right?

I spoke too soon! A friend called and invited me shopping with her...always dangerous. I went prepared with a list and money. I received a Chapter's gift card in the mail yesterday. I find if I wait till after Christmas to buy, there's nothing in the store I want. Well today there wasn't much either. So I bought a nice journal for myself. My Christmas gift...but it was about $5 over the card, so I suppose you could call that wasteful.

Also picked up two gift cards for the people who gave us the gift cards. We call this the Chapter's GC Shuffle, and it happens every year in our family. Dad gives all the kids GCs for Chapter's, and we all give ones back to him in return. His are too small for a book, but by the time he gets all of ours, he has enough for a few books!

My real waster was the Papyrus card though. I bought the card at Chapter's and that was the only brand I could find. It was over $10!!! I can't really get out to do decent shopping now the cold weather is here...no car because DH takes it to work. So I have to make do. Sometimes it means buying something more expensive. The card was one of those things.

    So...

    Dec. 9 - $10 wasted on a greeting card.

Given we have been in the process of purging boxes/general junk from our lives I have been able to keep from purchasing any new xmas decorations this year!

Unfortunately we had to spend $54 shipping an 8lb box of xmas gifts to his family. I guess that was somewhat necessary, although he was able to score some lovely, lovely gifts for cheap at a factory sale back in September.

Spent $16.50 last night at the nice bread shop on a nice loaf and two packets of a special holiday peanut mix. Totally unnecessary, but we threw one packet in the gift box as we were on our way to the post office!
