Libby, ive done the sme thing. After dropping off older ds at school, i'd get a coffee and snack pack timbits to bring home.
Maybe when driving dh, only bring your licence/reg/ins card and no cash or interac cards? After a week your car shouldnt be on autopilot to the breakkie place

Natalia - thanks.
Im at the point of examining *why* I feel compelled to stop for breakky (besides the convenience aspect). Its not like the food tastes that much better. (but yes any food that you don't cook yourself usually tastes better, no?
) I hope my desire to save $ over convenience will help me get through this.

While I have spent $52.13 this month so far all of it was planned and most of it ended up in the stockpile so that I could take advantages of deals and coupons.
by spending that $52.13 I got $33.02 in completely free items like HBAs, meds, and household items for the stockpile.
So I say no waste so far.The math never lies, budget in INK!
Amount of Free items 2012 $391.33

Debt #2 12/31/12 CC $901.88
Debt #3 12/31/12 $3648.83

I was in Walmart this morning. They had some Xmas stuff marked down 75 %.
Bought some candy...like $ 10 worth.
That was not needed, but I figure the chocalate could be broke up and used in future baking
And then the thrift store find...bag of yarn 14 #...just over $ 3, after the rewards card took off $ 5 ....guess I better make more hats to sell.......I'm loosing the destash game....--------My signature--------

Put the frog in pot, turn up the heat real slow, and the frog doesn't hop out. And by the time he realizes, he should , it's too late... think about it.

Jan. 6th--spent $20.45 at the grocery store. We were getting low on meats. I stuck to my list and got 2 Boston Butt pork butts, 2 packages of sausage, 2 packages of bacon, 1 package of ground sirloin, and 2 bottles of apple juice. Pretty good for all of that.
The biggest part is when I went to pay I thought I had $100 in my purse and couldn't find it anywhere. Talk about freaking out! I used my debit card and panicked until I got home. I tore my purse apart and YES! I found the money inside a bank envelope. Whew. I immediately took it and put it away for part of upcoming dance fees. That will teach me to be better organized!
While I was cleaning my purse, I went through all of my gift cards and checked the remaining balances. "Found" about $40 I had forgotten about.

Didn't leave today, so no wasted money.
Yesterday I went out...
Stuck to my list at Kroger's. $50. of stuff, paid $14.
Walgreens spent $5 and got two triminic meds and 4 boxes of GM cereal. Stuck to my list.
Target...They had little girls turtle necks on sale for $2. I bought 2 for DD1 for next year. They also had Christmas 90% off, I got wrapping paper and ribbon. WP was 50cents and the ribbon rolls were 30 cents a piece and I got 4. Since this was for stockpile, I don't consider it wasted. Better than paying full price next year.Debt free thanks to Dave Ramsey!
^scratch that...we have a mortgage now.

Jan. 7th--bought dinner at Subway. Used a giftcard that covered most of the balance. Spent $3.08 out of pocket. That's my wasted money for the week. Not too bad!
