Hhhhmmmm.....just e-filed with our tax guy Sat.- one of the questions he asked was along the lines of 'Have either of you received notice from the IRS someone has tried to use your SS #?'. Luckily the answer was no, but according to him, if you DID get such a notice, you HAD to bring it with you or you could not file. Not sure how that all works, but how scarey! He said our fed. refund should be direct-deposited by the end of the month- we'll see.

I didn't take the time to read the article but I know there is a delay because I seem to be one of the "lucky ones".
I filed on the 27th and still have yet to get my return. I filed my mom's several days later and she got hers already. She had no EIC. I filed both of ours electronically and asked for direct deposit and she got a check. This is a huge P.I.T.A.!!!

I filed mine almost as soon as they were allowing and I got my return on schedule. Hopefully the delay won't be too bad for everyone else.

I thought the IRS was really fast this year. Filed Jan. 29th and received it the 4th. They said not until the 14th. Sweet.
