Question What is the rate of interest to purchase a home where you live?

I know our rates are low here but I'll have to look in tomorrows paper to see just what they are.

What are they in the area you live in?

I think interest rates are a national thing, just depending on your credit score.

from Myfico.com

credt score interest rate
720-850 5.8%
700-719 5.9%
675-699 6.4%
620-674 7.6%
560-619 8.3%
500-559 8.6%

( I knocked of a few # off the end of the interest rates)

We got our mortgage in Oct. 2001 and got it for 6.75%. I wish we had the money to refinance, but oh well.
