I keep thinking this same thought but have so much trouble acting on it. Maybe if I confess and post on here, I'll do better.
What one thing do you honestly plan on doing to cut back on money you spend?
Mine is so embarrassing but I love the health and beauty aids section of stores. I love shampoos, body stuff, all that kind of stuff, new makeup, etc. Sometimes I think that I'm addicted to it. I have tons of freebies that I've received and I keep them in a big drawer and the under the sink cabinet is just full of stuff I've purchased. So here it is, I am not going to buy any more health and beauty stuff until I am sure there is not a drop of that left in the house. No more body wash, shampoo, lotion, etc. until I have used up what I've already gotten. Doesn't matter if it's on sale or a new scent. I've got to stop this cycle. I will make myself check all my stash before buying more! Part of me wants to think that I'm stockpiling so it's okay to buy more, but I'm not stockpiling. I am buying, buying, buying because I love that stuff. I'm a girly girl.
Anyone else have something that they must cut back on? Anyone else addicted to buying a particular something?
I can feel the withdrawl symptoms already kicking in....... I need................
OMG! How funny. I am addicted to buying lotions, body sprays, etc etc. My husband says I could open my own store...... I also need to quit buying every new scent that comes out....we could save a buttload of money just by doing this.....Thank you for posting this as I am an addict too.
Okay, I'm gonna say it....I WILL NOT BUY ANY MORE BEAUTY PRODUCTS UNTIL MY STASH IS EMPTIED OUT!!!!
That being said, I shouldn't have to buy anything of that nature for at least five years......
Ok true confessions my weakness is baskets, I just love them and I don't pay alot for them but a girl can only have so many right. The last basket I might my daughter said Mom I can't believe you're buying yet another basket.
No more impulse basket buying..

Being very careful about our long distance use. I bought some long distance cards at Dollar Tree and also got 1 hour's worth of free phone calls from Folger's Coffee. I have been trying to get the boys to remember to always use the phone cards so that we don't have high long distance bills.
Not eating out so much. That's what we need to start doing. We eat out twice every week, and that is budgeted for, but more times than I care to admit we will eat more. And, there is food in the cabinets and fridge. Uuugggh!

Glad to hear I'm not the only one with buying addictions. Yesterday I wanted to go to CVS so bad to get some body wash. I remembered this post and did not go but went downstairs instead and pulled a new Bath and Body Works bottle out of my stash.
Mine has to do with food, both my lunches for work and our meals at home. I want to make sure that I take my lunch every day instead of being lazy and eating in the cafeteria. Next, I want to make out our weekly meal plan and stick to it. I know this will help us reduce our food budget.
