We don't have one, but I always find it interesting to see how many years left on your mortgage?

We have 13 years, but we plan to pay it off in no more than 10.

Took us a while, every bit of extra money went towards paying it down and not towards big wedding, honeymoon or vacations etc.
Oh so worth it! I love being mortgage free!
Those of you still struggling, hang in there & I'll be dancing with you when you too are mortgage free.:huz:

We paid our mortgage off about 11 or so yrs. early, the year before last. It has made me feel so good that I can't describe it.

~48 yr. old sahw, livin' it up in our empty nest, smack dab in the middle of everywhere.~

I have 13 more years, but if I can I would like to pay it off in 13 yr. Would like to hear how everyone paid there's off so quickly. Up for any suggestions, even if they sound weird to others. Started putting $50 toward my principal on my mortgage. I know this is good debt, but I hate anything hanging over my head!

We built this house last year and just closed on it in October... so 29 and a half!

The house before this, we had paid down quite a bit and only had 15 years left, after having owned it for only four years. We refinanced, paid extra, etc. to get that down from the original 30 year mortgage.

We just bought our house in January so basically 30 years still!! We're paying extra every month and want to own a home outright by our mid-40s to early 50s (20-30 years from now).
