Finally remembering to share our good news.

I've been so caught up in DD's surgery and healing that I haven't really post much else. I forgot to share our good news.

DH accepted a new position at the TV station. He will be moving out of management, and becoming a full-time director/editor. He will also be producing more. This is what he went to school for, so he is happy. He is getting a 17% raise to do this.

I had my evaluation at work on Wednesday. The highest merit increase you can get is 7%, and anything above 6% needs to be approved by hospital upper administration. I think I only got a 5.5% raise last year, and the year before that I got 6.5%. This year, I got a 6%, along with a fabulous new supervisor. Yay!

This is going to work out great for us. We will get that home equity loan paid off in no time, and ALL our debt (mortgage included) will be paid off in less than ten years. (Everything BUT the mortgage should be paid off in less than 5 years, easily.)
