New User!
What a New Year's Gift to find this site! Ofcourse today every one is thinking of how to make 2006 better for themselves. My husband and I live paycheck to paycheck. We've recently divided up the bills to see that they get paid on time. I'm still not sure that that is the best way. We both bring home about the same amount. I'm extremely interested in the Excel Spreadsheet someone had mentioned (I don't remember who). Is it possible to e-mail it to me?
I too have big bills (3 cars and a mortgage). We have credit cards, but they all have low limits (hallelujah). Course, they're all up to the limit after Christmas.
We are by nature, frugal people; but it seems like there's never enough to go around.
My first goal is to not actually pay things off . . . just getting the mortgage paid on time (we're behind now and have been since we refinanced).
Thanks for letting me vent!

Not sure which spreadsheet you are talking about- maybe the one mentioned by Lucky Star in this thread?

Welcome to the group.
I am going to offer a little advice from a been there done that point of view. Get that mortgage paid up. Skip car payments if you have to but don't get any further behind on that payment. I speak from experience. We had to give up the house we had built ourselves about 3 1/2 years ago and trust me it didn't help the situation any. Because rent these days is about the same if not more than most house payments.
Sorry to come on so strong first thing. It just worries me that anyone could be where we were. Again welcome to the group.Jeanna

I can figure out some of your goals; but explain some to me. I figure EF is Emergency Fund; but what are u doing with your "change/dollar jar"? I have no problem with no spend days. I very seldom go anywhere and always take leftovers for lunch everyday. I love to cook; but my husband is starting 2nd shift tomorrow; so it makes it a little more difficult since my son will be heading back to school and my daughter cheers for her high school basket ball team.
