Since they changed who can file the head of household deduction, which I wish I would have known about earlier, I will have to pay an additional $600 for the first time ever! UGH!

We do not have state tax either...... Thank God, We paid in over $8000 in federal last year. We got 1500 back. This year I am saving all our reciepts, we itemize and we can now claim any state sales tax on any purchase (walmart, groceries, shoes, etc) I have been saving every reciept and doing a rolling count. So far I have almost $425 bucks in sales tax. The 1500 we got back will roll right on over to the city and county property taxes....... which are 1475 so I have a whole $25 left.......yeah!!!!

We put in like $1500 maybe a little less but we got the child tax credit for 5 children, so our refund was pretty high.
When I was working in the beginning of 2005 I opted to have $5 taken for federal tax taken out because with my exemptions and not making alot they weren't taking out federal tax.
If your owing every year, you might want to claim no exemptions so at the end of the year you get it back or dont owe anything.
