How old were you when you got your first cc
I was 19 and Sears offered cc as you walked through the door. That was the beginning of a nightmare for me. I don't handle cc well, hence not having any for years.

I didn't get a credit card until after I got married so I was about 21 and it was the start of a love/hate relationship that now is totally hate and I will not have another one.

I had a store card in my late 20s and my first credit card in my 30s. I forget exactly when.

I think I was around 20. After my divorce, I canceled them all. I did not have one again until earlier this year and went crazy...I can't be trusted with a cc...
I have decided to get this one paid off and not use them again....

Never
I got my first debit card at 18 but I have never had a traditional credit card and I don't intend to start now.

Actually I got my first cc (in my name only) 2 years ago when Kohl's opened up here!! I am 43
Even after dh and I got married 20 years ago I never had a cc in my name.....we had a Fedco card that was in his name that I could charge on but it wasn't mine!! Now we have just 1 cc in his name only and it is for emergencies only......we don't carry a balance on it!!

I was 18, I think - during my 1st year in college. They had those cc applications all over campus where it was very easy to sign up for one. But I was pretty responsible with it throughout college and paid it in full each month.
