Default Having my cake & eating it too...

That is, I think I can have my cake & eat it too. I've done the math a few times.

*I can put $1000 in the EF now.
*Spend $1000 to remodel the utility room now (must be done before the kitchen & must be done when dh happens to not have any paying work. which will occur later this week).
*Pay off my CC by May.
*Pay off my Van by September (3.5 years after I got it)
*Fund the EF to $3000 (one month's worth of expenses after CC & Van are paid off) by November.
*AND start saving for the Kitchen in December. I'll have enough for the remodel in June of '07. (We want to do it June and can't afford it this year.

That is ... if any unexpected occurences can be covered my any extra shifts I get. I'm pretty sure I've anticipated everything that I can anticipate.

    You go girl!

Hubby and I did our taxes today! We're getting $5350 back.... holy moly! (thank goodness for Child Tax Credit).

We are paying all our CC bills and with our state refund check we're getting new cabinets for the kitchen (hubby will make them, he just needs the supplies) and I am going to put $100 to the EF!

I am just sooo happy, now we wont have any CC bills and only the mortgage and home equity which I can now pay more of, since we're saving like $300 a month since paying off the CC's!
