We did it...
Hubby and I got our income tax check already AND some money from selling piece of land we had and weren't using...
What we did was pay off 12 CC's and put $1000 to one card and $1000 to another card, $300 to one and then $325 towards another, leaving us with a little over $2500 left of debt to pay and also have $300 to spare, until hubby gets paid again, then we have other bills to pay like $205 electric and our bi-weekly mortgage payment + I scheduled a CC payment to one of the left over cards of $100 (normally we would pay the min. $20 + $10 extra).
I am just glad to say that if we had $150 left over after hubby's bi-weekly payment and that's after paying credit cards, bills, mortgage, we now will have an extra $300 a month to save. YAY!
I also had a little stash that was going to be used to go to the thrift store that I am instead going to the water bill which is $62 (now not having to take it from hubby's paycheck) and I will have $40 for the thrift store instead.
It feels good, AND GUESS WHAT? I shredded almost all of my cards leaving me with a CC with a small credit limit of $250 in case of emergencies and I have another card that I HAVE NEVER USED with a limit of $3250 (which I will never use unless it's a dire need). That's it for me! I even told hubby that if we dont have the money in our bank account to buy something then we just dont need it.
I want to say THANK YOU to all the wonderful ladies on these forums that have helped me learn about frugal living, I will continue to be frugal but I have learned ALOT about stockpiling, snowballing (which I am going to do) and so many other things.
I now have a change jar and a penny jar and an EF and I would have never done that without the thoughts and encouragement for this community.
THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!
~Tracy~

Debt reduction
Strugglingmumof3,
You must be over the moon having paid off all that! Very well done!
Think of all that increased income you now have and
how you can use it - you have had a big pay rise in effect -
roll on
for all of us to be doing the same - I know I can't wait until freedom day comes
