My taxes are done!
I am so proud of myself. We just got the last of our W-2's in the mail on Saturday, and I sat down yesterday (Monday) and did the Federal and State tax returns. Woo-hoo! I usually put this off until late March, at least.
We are also getting a sizable refund, for the first time ever. Of course, our income has dropped over 50% in the last two years. We were able to take the Earned Income Credit. I am so excited about our refund! Now my DH can finally go to the dentist. He needs about $1600 worth of work done, and we don't have any insurance.

Congrats! We got alot back too and paid alot of CC's and put money towards others... we're waiting on our state check then we usually split it in half and with my half I am putting it towards the remaining $200 I owe JCPenney and $400 towards Circuit City, that leaves me with only owing $600 towards one CC!
Hubby does what he wants with his half, which of course you now know is $600 so, I will encourage him to bring down his debt for one of his cards but again that's up to him.

Wow! We got our State refund in the mail today! That was really fast, we didn't even e-file. I mailed the return on the 7th, and got the check on the 18th. I guess it pays to file early. Our state refund was only $225, but this is the first year we have got anything back from the State of Kansas.

Wow- that's great. Now you can get DH in to that dentist and I'm sure he'll be more comfortable for it.
We are actually getting a refund from both this year, which is really unusual. Part of it will pay for DD's surgery, and the rest will go toward debt and and emergency fund.
We e-filed early this week- hopefully we'll have it back soon!

We got our State back today. It was 1 week to the day that I mailed them. Just waiting for the federal and then I will be paying down debt.
