    Talking Wal-Mart Bonus for Me.....

So, I worked at Wal-Mart part-time for all of three weeks before I accepted a full-time military job. This was the summer of 2004. I took military leave from there, although I never planned on returning. Suddenly out of the blue, they called my mom telling her they had a bonus check for me. So I called them, thinking this bonus check was either a mistake or like 20$. Come to find out, b/c I was still on payroll when they won a contest, that I get a 250$ bonus. After taxes are taken out, I'm going to be getting 208! Yay for me right? Plus, since they terminated me, I'll be getting a check for 14.63 hours of accrued vacation!

All that money is going straight towards my Helzberg diamond debt! 21.98 percent interest, be darned!

    I'm so excited!

I know what you mean... Last summer out of the blue, I got a letter from KMart (I have not worked there since 1995), and because I worked there for five years I was automatically put in their pension plan... I had no idea... After taxes I got a check for 750.00!! KMart may have their issues, but I still kind of got the last word... It came at the best time too.. We were flat broke. I like nice suprises.. I also worked at Wal Mart... I wonder if I will ever be getting something from them.. I do still have stock with them- maybe it will split soon.... LOL
