So Proud of Myself!
Well ladies, I just wanted to post this!
Since September, I was putting away $117.00 per paycheck into a GIC account to save up for my car insurance come this past April. My original total, when I was still with my husband, was supposed to be $1872.00. Well, since I left my husband, who had had an accident (which effected our insurance) years ago, my insurance went waaaaaaaaaaay down, to $1165.00. And, now that I'm working in an insurance office, I also got a discount on that! So my insurance, when I paid for it yesterday, came to $1020.00.
Talk about one excited little frugalite!!!
What's even better -- my divorce, which will take place come December of this year, is going to total about $1200.00. Well, the money left over from my car insurance savings of last year is about $710.00. And my tax refund is going to be about $490.00. Sooooo... I have the $1200.00 for my divorce already saved, and it's only the end of April!!!
So I am still putting away $117.00 per paycheck -- $40.00 per pay for my car insurance for next year, and the rest for a little nest-egg -- Goddess knows what might come ones way over time!
So I bought a mutual fund for that $117.00 to go into and am happily going through life with a great start to the year.
Yay me!!!
