Need Help calculating please...
Hi,
Does anyone know of where I can find a financial calculator that will tell me what our actual bring home pay will be after we start investing in our 401K.
I am trying to show DH the difference it will make won't hurt us as much as putting that money in an account after taxes. I hope I am making sense. I am just really wanting to get this started and I am not having a lot of luck coming up with figures for him to see. We have delayed doing this and I am really set on at least 10% he wants to start with 5%. I need to be able to figure it both ways. I would appreciate any help that anyone can give on this.
Thanks in advance.
Lorri

Good luck Lori. Arrangeing for retirement is too important, keep insisting, at LEAST put in what company would match!

Thanks Dave'sGirl, I got him to agree to SOMETHING (YEAH), something is better than nothing at this point. I enrolled immediately online before he could change his mind. Unfortunately his company does not do any matching. So I felt it was really important to start this now.

Each time that you or your DH get a raise, you should bump it up a %. That way, you are increasing what you are saving plus you are already used to living on the same amount of money.
