    Smile Good News!

    I had some good news today. My attorney called and my ex has agreed on a settlement amount, it's been such a stressful time the past 6 months trying to get through this and hoping we didn't have to go to court. I will be getting the amount back that I put toward the house payments. That is all, but that is all I wanted. He fought it for months, but my attorney said he finally realized if we went to court he stood to lose half of everything and this was a much cheaper way for him to go. I just wanted it to be over so we can get on with our lives.

    I should be getting a check in mid June. First I'm going to get a new hot water heater. I have been mopping up a puddle every morning and night in the basement from the one we now have and wondering how I was ever going to afford a new one. Second, will be to pay off the cc. I will also have enough to start an emergency fund and I want to try and pay some towards what I owe my parents.

    This is such a huge relief for me and my children. I still don't make enough to cover our monthly expenses but at least now I will have a cushion until I can find a way to earn more.

    Willow, I'm glad for you!!! It's not easy being single< i have friends who are single parent and fighting tooth and nail to get what they and they're children deserve.
