Half way there
I paid in full another credit card today. Thats two down, two to go! I updated my sig.
I can't wait til they're all PIF! I'm going to be one of you who posts to say 'I've done it! I've paid off all my debt.'
I want to give credit to you ladies on this board for your inspiration and encouragement. I always look forward to updating my siggie when I make payments, its exciting to watch the balances go down. It gives me motivation to continue doing it.
I'm looking forward to the day when I can start putting all that money into my EF and really build it up. There's financial uncertainty where I'm employed and it makes me nervous, I really need more money in the bank for that safety net.“When you get to the end of all the light you know
and it's time to step into the darkness of the unknown,
faith is knowing that one of two things will happen:
you will be given something solid to stand on,
or you will be taught how to fly.” - Edward Teller
“Our Earth is degenerate in these later days;
there are signs that the world is speedily
coming to an end;
bribery and corruption are common; children no
longer obey their parents;
every man wants to write a book and the
end of the world is evidently approaching.”
— From a translation of an inscription on
an Assyrian clay tablet, circa 2800 B.C.E.
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.

Thanks Bee and Frugalfarmwife
It does feel good to watch the balances go down. And watching everyone else make progress towards their goals. Coming here helps me to be accountable to myself. I get alot of motivation here to achieve my goals and to not backslide into old habits, like shopping online and charging stuff on a credit card that I don't really need. I'm learning to live within my means. I come here to remember that even though I'm broke now, it won't always be that way and I will appreciate being out of debt and saving money. Thats what keeps me going.
