I am happy we have went up 2% in dh's contribution to his tsp account. We are now up to 10% from 8%. Sure it is not alot but it is something. We are also saving up the initial $500 to open me a Roth IRA. I know it isn't much but we feel good. I want to make dh's dream of retiring @58 happen.........
I think in some years to come after we complete our family I might go back to work pt time while daughter(s) is in school and if I do that will help dh to realize his dream quicker too.

~Great!10% is awesome! 7% is what we can afford here and DH's company matches 50% of that. My DH used to dream of retiring a millionaire by the time he was 45. Then we got married and bought a house and had 2 kids. Now I think he dreams of the possibility of maybe retiring someday . You are a very thoughtful and considerate wife!~
