I was just curious to find out what most people are paying for their car payment?

    Thanks

0, Zip, Nadda, Nothing. I don't believe in paying interest to anyone if I can help it. I bought my 2004 Corolla for Ca$h and figured out what the monthly payments would have been. I now add that amount every month into an interest bearing account where I get the interest. So when I'm ready to buy a new car in a couple more years God willing, I will have the Ca$h once again to do so. Then I repeat the whole process all over again.

We haven't had payments for almost 3 years now (woo-hoo!), but our payments on our 2000 Dodge Neon were right at $300/month on a Smart Buy.

DH's car is paid for. My car payment is 161 a month and I have been paying 170$. Now that two of my cards are paid off, I will be paying more.

$0 per month for mine and DH's is the same. When we did have them, we paid extra every month and were able to pay them off early.

Dh just got a new SUV (he got a good deal on it - only 20,000 kilometres on it)....we bought it with our line of credit at the bank(better interest than a loan) and we can pay extra online at our bank...The payment should be about $605 a month but we have been putting extra on. A "nice" vehicle is important to Dh where I don't really care too much. My Honda is paid for and I plan to drive it until it dies which hopefully won't be for many years!
