Default My income tax is done!

DH and I got our W-2's in the mail today, and I sat right down and did the taxes. Our state tax was "Web-filed", and the IRS didn't even have E-file open yet for the Federal Return, so I just mailed it. Woot! We are getting back a little over $3,000! This is so much money for us! That is equal to two month's income. We are going to save at least 80% of it as an emergency fund. We don't have any bills to pay off.

I'm glad you are getting a refund. Much better than having to pay.

We always used to pay, when we were making good money. Now that we are "poor" we get a nice refund.

Mine's been sitting ready to file. Tomorrow I can finally send it electronically. So nice to have it done, huh! DH's w-2 was posted online last weekend so I sat down and did it all. The first year in several I didn't have to file my own business. It was soooo much easier! We're getting some back too. Straight to EFs, a car loan and some personal loans. I can't wait!

    Yeah to you!!

That is great! I'm so envious; I really want my taxes done, but we're still waiting on DH's W-2, mortgage, school, etc... Although, we may owe this year, I just want them done so I can stop wondering and maybe we will get lucky and get a refund.

~That's fantastic! DH was laughing at me last night because I was doing a test run on the tax forms to get a rough idea of our return. If we had DH's W2s our return would be mailed too! Always get them after Super Bowl.~
