Killing the bird in the hand

Thanks for all the support! I worked like a dog the last two (not fun) days, and finished up the first rough edit for all three books. The sister I work with on the tricky questions is out of town (home today I think), and I told her I would meet with her a time or two to go over a few things -- but only if she can do it by the end of the month. That won't be unpleasant since I've liked working one on one with her, so I feel like I'm "home free"! The hard dreary work is done.

The one in charge has so far only e-mailed that she has received my e-meils and will reply later. I have no idea what she is going to say. What can she say? I quit. She will probably have a counter offer. I must be strong... I must be strong....

I'm getting maybe a little more comfortable with the idea that I will have only my regular salary to live on. It's still a little "yikes!" but it will be ok.

And as for the free time? Maybe I can actually do some quilting again!

Congrats on your decision. I'm sure once you have your free time back again, you'll have no problem at all filling it with things you actually WANT to do.
