    Default I am Mistified

    I am just so fasinated how we get ripped off with interest rates.
    (what mistifies me is we go along with it and think nothing of it )
    Got our tax sheet yesterday from the mortgage we paid $206 on the principal
    (for year 2006 ) and $3,555 and change in interest.
    I don't care but from now on if its $25.00 or $125.00 I putting some extra against the principal every month starting Feb.
    It has been eatting me up inside all night.

    That's the way to go, right now for us it's not something we can afford to do but in 6/2007 we will start adding towards the principle. Good Luck to the both of us!

    I feel your pain Holly. It always has griped me no end when I'd get our mortgage statements for the year.....gggrrhhhh...I HATE interest!

    It has sure put motivation here. All I have to do is look at that statement
    and I'll find extra somewhere....
    I am also starting a new fund and when we sell this place in 2 or 3 years now
    I will be paying for the next house in cash.
    I just have to get Homesteadmama's determination. ( so will read from rich to rags and riches again every month. (saved it ).
