    Default EverBank

Does anyone else bank with EverBank?

They offer free checking accounts that pay you interest on the balance in your account. Right now they are offering an introductory 6.01% interest (I think for 3 months) and after that the interest they pay you starts at 3.25% and is higher the more you have in your account.

If you are comfortable with an online-only bank (you'd have no physical branch to visit, sort of like ING), I really encourage you to check this out. It's totally free and they offer everything that another bank's checking account would. Also, because there are no EverBank ATMs, they reimburse you for ATM charges from other banks' ATMs.

((You do need a $1500 minimum to open, but I just pulled this from my savings and will move it back to my money market account after the 6.01% is up.))

Why not make some free money??

Honestly, I haven't checked this out yet, but my dad has been pushing me to look into it - though mostly for the foreign currency stuff they offer. We've been discussing the slow decline of the dollar.
