Baby steps-thanks to you all!
OK...last week I got my tax refunds back....instead of blowing it all on dinner, clothes and (sigh) a pair of beautiful leather boots which are soft as butter....I made a big payment and paid off one major credit card
and then paid off a small balance I had on a store charge card. And I still have $500 left. So I knocked 2 bills/debts off and I am NOT going to use those cards again. I still have a high balance on another card, and my car loan, mortgage, etc..and a student loan. But I am going to snow ball the $ and try to make a big dent in the other credit card by this summer.
When I look at what I still owe I get a little overwhelmed but am trying to pat myself on the back for paying off 2 bills. I remind myself I have a house full of "stuff" and plenty of clothes and shoes, so I am happy with what I have.

I'm so proud of & happy for you! Love your attitude... you should pat yourself on the back for paying down down debt & at the same time not adding to the "stuff" load. You are lightening up and that is such a nice freeing feeling. Sleep well.

Good for you. I know it seems overwhelming at time, but you are on the right track. I know not getting boots like that was hard, but you made the right choice..Blessings..Kathy

Im so proud of you I know how hard that was. I would normaly take my tax refund and buy something like a desinger purse and something stuppid. This year I am going to pay off a dept and save the rest.

I bet you feel a weight has been lifted. I have paid many balances off before and end up right back in the mess. Not this time they will be cut up. If you don't have it readily available you can't charge it! Thanks for the inspiration!
