I don't think I am working as much as you. I have 2 part time jobs. Once I have been working 26-30 hours a week and the other about 15 hours a week. That seems like a lot to me! But I am going full time at one job and then will keep the other job. Probably doing 45-50 a week. (which is enough with 2 teens and a DH) How many hours do you average?

Due to health issues, I don't work as much OT as I once did. . . but I still put in 10-30 hours of OT each pay check.
I'm a critical care RN -- always an opportunity for OT.

Where I work at, they do not allow overtime for office personal. They feel that there is no reason why the people in the office can't get their job done in 8 hours. If we do have to stay over one day, we have to leave early another day so we don't have overtime.

I know that OT isn't always an option. At my last job it was a BIG NO-NO! But currently I get in about 45 hour a week. With a family and all thats all I can manage but I want these debts GONE. -

I work part-time at 2 hospitals so it works out to 1 extra 8 hour shift every 2 weeks. I often work 12 hour shifts so it's easy to pick up extra time and still not have to work everyday.

Neither DH nor I have jobs that offer OT. It's kind of funny - I have never had a job after college that offered me OT, but DH always had jobs the offered OT until this one. It's kind of cool watching him learn what life is like when you're on salary. Some things are better (I can call in sick and still get paid) and some things are worse (like I might have to work past 5pm to get a project finished with no extra pay). He grew up in a household where both of his parents were hourly employees and it's hard for them to understand how salaried jobs work sometimes.

My current job, I can only get overtime if it's approved by a manager. I rarely ask if I can work overtime because 40 hours is enough for me.

Im very lucky that this is my first kick ass job that allows me to have somewhat flexible hours. To me its a small company but really its going bigger and more corportate with a small biz kinda feel. The staff do care about each other, we all get along etc. If you come in 15 mins late you voluntarily cut your lunch short (we get 1 hour) or stay a bit later after quittting time.
Im on salary though there are hourly employees. Im very happy to work where I do. I have doctors appt's galore and I try to schedule them after hours and get my labs done first thing in am or on weekends. I guess the time I end up taking off for my personal upkeep balances out with my constant OT. I usually stay 30 mins up to an hour late each day just b/c I want things done - a clean slate for the next day.2012: The Year Of The Purge!

I am working OT. I hope to generate at least $250 extra a month in OT income. My boss basically begged me to work at least 10 hours OT this week. Of course, I am gladly doing it.
