Well hecky dern!
Well today I had some time so I went to figure out how much Emily's college will cost us next year.
We pay half and my Ex pays half.
We also get free tuition and books.
My half with the new dorm room
$4500.00.
Yeeee~Ow!
Deep breath, humph!
Okay I have $400 lol and we do get a student loan for her that we pay so I get to take off about 2500.00.
So $2000.00--much better!
I am so stressed out right now trying to take care of some things, get us on the "plan" and save for college.
I am fussy, my face is breaking out and I always have had clear skin, and I am sleepy but I toss and turn.
Ebay is so slow it is like pulling teeth and that is how I make my college money.
sigh.....one day this will be over and I won't go back to this
.
Just say NO to debt! That is my motto and I swear I am going to get out of this mess and not go back.
Save for college! I have another one who is a senior next year and you know how much THAT costs and then she goes into college. I will have 2 in college at once!

Having been there and done that I can honestly say "I've felt your pain". We ate beans and rice/rice and beans for about 5 years. At one point for a year we had 3 kids in college
We hadn't saved up for it but we managed and you will to. Hang in there and start turning your fave. jeans inside out to wash and dry them (makes them last a lot longer.....)

Thanks for the encouragement - we've been putting $100 per month aside for our son since he was 6 months, and we're hoping to put in an extra $600 to make up for the first six months. We already got an "extra" $100 in last month.

Oh my goodness. I praying for scholarships
I just keep telling dh to count his blessings that our kids are so far apart because we'll appreciate it come the college years. AJ will be five years behind dd and this next baby will be four years behind him, maybe five depending on how his/her birthday ends up falling.

Mine are 8 years apart but my step dd is only 2 years younger than my oldest.
So dd1 is in school and will start her 3rd year when dd2 is on her first year and since dd2 wants to be a lawyer dd3 will start whil dd2 is still in school!

Wow that's alot but I am sure you will manage. My DS is attending college in August and he had gotten many grants and a stafford loan which isn't due until 6 months after he graduates in 4 years so that's a relief.

You have to reapply for that Stafford loan every year.(Fafsa)
If your situation improves you could be out of luck.
I am still waiting to see if Emily gets it this year. The math never lies, budget in INK!
