Wink Glad I had emergency fund...

I now really appreciate having the EF.
My SUV has got some mileage on it and needed some maintenance ( kinda like me), which totalled, gulp, :surprise: $970!!!
The work needed to be done, and I HATE to part with money but on the upside, am glad I had the $ saved.

So, bad news: my EF pretty much wiped out.
Good news: tomorrow is payday and I can replenish all the $$ and just not make that extra payment on my cc I was going to pay, which is OK. I already made a couple of extra payments this month anyway.

I normally grocery shop on payday also, but will trim back and just spend $20 for some fresh fruit/veggies and eat from my pantry...which is full!

So, in trying to give myself a peptalk, I will have $$ in the bank, the bills are paid, and I have plenty of food in the cupboard...it could be worse.

I know I am not the one who has difficulty in parting with EF $ money, but on the flip side, six months ago I had no EF & would have charged the auto repairs on the c.c.

But thanks to the tips & motivation here, well, I am much better off! OK, enough blathering.

I know it does hurt to have to deplete you EF, on the bright side, at least you didn't have to put in on a CC.

That is what the EF is for. Too bad you had to use it, good that you had one.

It's great that you had the cash to pay for the repairs. Your attitude is great and you will have the ef built up in no time.

Good for you having the EF! I know what you mean about parting with money from the EF, it's really hard for me to do also. We just had to take out around $1000 for a truck repair and associated expenses, but at least we had the money in the EF. Don't worry, you'll build it back again.
