Need Mortgage Help!
I have been looking at houses kinda off and on for several months (I know what my general price range is). Well, I have found a house that I would like to submit an offer on and can not get the lenders (3) that I had been talking with before to answer emails. It is so frustrating because it is like everyone took vacation at one time.
Is there anyone here who has gotten a mortgage lately and used an online source? Does anyone recommend a specific mortgage lender?
Any help is appreciated.Robbin

We just closed about 6 weeks ago and I worked with a guy on line, he was absolutely fantastic. I would reccommend him 100%. He also got us a REALLY good rate. PM me and I'll get you his info if you want. We were very pleased with him. He even did some work on a weekend for us on 2 occasions, and extened our rate lock 3x at no charge when the closing got drug out.

We use a mortgage broker too. I wouldn't do it any other way. They haul up your credit information and let the banks compete for your business. this way too you don't have every financial instition/bank going into your credit. The banks etc have no idea what the other bank is offering so they basically go as low as they can and compete for your business.
We just refinanced our house this past jan. and now we are selling. Our mortgage broker is so great that he went to our same mortgage company so that we can just transfer our 4.99% interest rate to the other house. Because our broker just refinanced for us with this company 6 months or so ago he will not make any commision, he said that we have been such loyal clients that it was his pleasure to help us out and with interest rates rising, at least a bit he wanted to make sure that we had the best deal. We just bought an investment property last month which he found us a really good rate for too but he did get his commission for that transaction.
