was finally able to start saving!!
i haven't been able save money for awhile. what i mean is put money into our savings account. but today i was able to transfer 40.00!!!that's a big deal for us. what i plan on doing is every friday when dh gets paid xx amount over the the hundred if you will will be put in the savings. so it goes like this...if he got paid 529.93 the 29.93 would go in the bank.it sounds good to me because all we can save up the better.i may try to add an extra 10 here and there too.but they servey checks i think i will just add to the cash on hand fun for all those surprise milk and bread runs.what do you all think? any other ideas.

that sounds like a great plan to me. I've found if I take it right off the top, we never seem to miss it. You can also save change or found money, that adds up too.

I have seen myself transfer change too with my online banking to my savings account lol! It really is such a wonderful feeling and gets pretty addicting too!

Congrats!

Hey, that's a great plan! I wish my bank had that plan like BankAmerica where every check you write, they round it up and put the change in your savings account. I have a friend who has that, and she says it adds up really fast. I don't write many checks, though. I mostly pay online.
I'm going to think about doing what you're doing. My check is usually about $19-22 dollars over the hundred, so I'm thinking I could live without that. And if I needed it, there it is!

We started with $25 so I completely know the feeling. Every little bit counts! It will feel so good as it adds up. Congrats!

That's a really great idea!
If you use coupons, you can always transfer the money you saved with the coupons into savings.
