RDRP - slight change of plans.
I originally thought that we'd have it done in March 2008. However, I have revised it. We need more breathing room I have to pay a little less toward the debts so we have more to work with every day things. But the new plan is before Christmas 2008, so just a few months! Not years..lol.
due to some transitions, my own income is much lower this summer. Of course, no one told me until the last minute so it could have been better planned. Murphy...lol.
BUT, I'm not daunted. We'll be back on track in a few weeks. Another debt will be PIF! Then shortly after that another! I"m SO looking forward to it..lol.
And of course, when I get my website launched there should be a trickle of more income come in as well. SO... it should be all good again.
GOAL: NOTHING BUT MORTGAGE LEFT IN>>>>>16 MONTHS! WOOHOO!!

It's not online yet, should be in mid august, but I'm building a small business, with a goal of a family run business in the future.

That's a great goal!! And it's right around the corner! My Dh's and my goal is to be debt free except his student loan by Oct '08. It feels good, doesn't it?

Kathryn,
It does feel good to have a deadline! Well not a deadline. But what is really great about it, is it is before the mortgage is due to renew, so we can dump a bunch on that over the next year to bring it down further AND have money at the end of the term so the next mortgage will be even LOWER. To have the house paid off is a huge goal for me. I want it done before I'm 40.(turning 34 this fall). I dont' think it's unrealistic. It would be in time for the kids to start college or whatever.
I do hope to have it paid off by summer, so even mor ecan be dumped on the mortgage..lol
