I don't know anything about it besides what I've seen ont he website, but I would be hesitant to pay for a budget program when there are so many free things out there that you could combine or print off. JMO.

Well, that's my feeling too
and basically what they've got is a specialized check register. I don't need to spend money for that, I can do it on an accounting page or spreadsheet myself.
The only real advantage to it that I can see is that it gives you your budget at a glance all the time, and I was trying to figure out if it was very useful to have that or just a waste of money?
Or, maybe there was something I missed....

I love Budgetmap!!!!
I have been using budgetmap now for about 5 years and I absolutely love it! I have tried other methods for budgeting like programs with the computer and such and nothing has worked as well for me as budgetmap.
I am a very frugal person and I have looked into free spreadsheets on the web but none of them are quite like budgetmap. I love that I can keep it in my purse and I can look at it and know right away how much I have left in my Fuel or Grocery catergory and I stay within my limits.
For me personally, it has been well worth the money spent because it works well for me, but everyone is different. I have spoken on the phone with the owner of the company before and he was very nice. You might be able to tell him you just want to do a trial run to see if you like it and see what he says.
Also before I used budgetmap I would use my own envelope system, but I didnt like having too much cash in my purse, so I feel this is a great alternative.Yvette

Thanks!
That's very helpful. They do have a trial plan or something...DH would never agree to keep all our $ in envelopes. I could persuade him to give me the grocery $ in cash, we've done that before. But all of it? No way. He pays most of the bills and he does it online.
Thanks again!
