Does anyone know where I should start to look for some 0% or Low APR credit cards that I can do card transfers to? I have an average credit rating and would like to transfer some cards that have higher APR's and help pay them off. I don't know where to start or what companies I can trust. I am really struggling to make the bills.
Thanks, Jen

When you do find one, be sure to find out how much the payment is first. I had one that I was only able to make the minimum payment on at the time. I got an offer and after I made the transfer, the payment actually went up. Instead of 2% of the balance, it was 3%. I've now transferred it to another one that is more manageable. It is through my bank.
I get card offers every day. Usually 3-4 a day. Just read the terms first.
In my experience, they come looking for you if your credit rating is good enough to qualify for them. That may be overly pessimistic or cynical - and I certainly HOPE for you that you find a good solution, but I would not EXPECT it to come from that source.

check out discover card they offer 0% for the life of the card, the only catch is that you have to use it once a month but there is no minimum that you have to charge i usually use it for gas for something around 5.00

We've done this before, but the offers came in the mail. Be careful of the balance transfer FEE, as well. It used to have a cap on it (like 3% of the balance up to $75)...now it seems like it's just 3% (or whatever %) for the FULL amount. Check that math! Good luck on your transfers!
I just checked my two CC's online today so I was sure how much was due on them. Last month I was over my limit due to a hotel charging the wrong card when I asked them to charge my bank card and not my CC. They charged my CC instead and put me over, so I had a lot of extra money I had to pay.. My bill last month for my minimum due was 169.80.... So I paid 170.00 to make sure my balance would be below my limit. This month I look and see they charged me a finance charge of 34.00 and then an overlimit fee of 39.00. I wasn't over the limit until the finance charge was posted. I didn't use the card at all. I don't understand how this works.
Do I have to look at the amount due and try to figure out how much of a "finance charge" will be added and pay that amount? I can't afford to keep paying fees that I didn't expect. I was so upset when I saw this today at work I started crying... This sucks...

Yes, they count on the interest to put you over so they can get that extra money and guess what next month you will be over again and so on.
YOu need to find a huge chunk of cash to put on the card. The amount that is the minimum plus how much you are over and then a bit more just to be on the right side of the balance.
I suggest you make that card your biggest priority and never make less than $20 over your minimum payment.
The balance will NEVER go away with minimums.
Go to this site and play around and see if you can find your toe hold in your budget.
