Question What would you do ,use your EF?

We owe $232 in dental bills, and I have 200 in my EF. Would you go ahead and use it to pay it off? We have no dental insurance.

    Thanks,
    Berry

    Default Dental bills....

IMHO, i would arrange for a few payments. With only 200 in your EF. I don't think you can afford to have nothing in case of a real emergency. I wouldnt consider paying a 200 dollar partial payment a emergency. You cant pay it all anyway. I think i would call and try to negotiate a payment plan and see if you can just send in whatever is possible in a montly plan. If they say no , they want it all, well tough, you cant send what you dont have. Send them what you can afford without giving up the EF. I dont know you personal situation. i would try to give them 50 a month for 4 months. but that might even be out of you range. Yep. that is what i would do.

I agree with Denny. Try to work out a payment plan first. Hang on to that emergency fund if you can.

I agree as well. You should be able to set up payments. I would save the EF... just in case.

I would leave the ef alone.
