Drowning !!!
Hello everyone

Finding this site has given me hope ! I'm determined to try and pull myself out of debt no matter how long it takes me.
I'll admit I was ashamed to even type the amount of debt I'm in, after writing it all down I just couldn't believe it.
I owe $72,000 on my mortgage
$491.75 in taxes
$3471.27 credit card debt
$16,061.00 in loans
$1265.00 in misc debts
I am probably the worst case on the site but I figure I have to start somewhere.
Looking forward to a brighter future !

Nope, far from the worst, but even the worst is getting better every day they are on here, so just hang around and get with the program, and it will get better.

Thank you all for the encouragement. I am determined to do this no matter how painful.

By no means the worst. I am working on over $50,000 cc debt as well as our mortgage of $125,000 and a home equity line of $119,000. As you can see you are not alone. Good luck and welcome to a great place for help and encouragement.

Like the others have said, you are by far not the worse and you have at least faced the problem.
I found that setting up a plan and slowly changing my spending has made a huge difference over the last year. Slowly but surely, I've been able to pull myself back on track. You can do the same.
I stil cringe when I look at my original numbers. Adding everything up and figuring out I had a negative networth was not a happy moment but it was oh so worth it.
Good luck and welcome.Have a nice day. Traci
