Ohnoohnoohnoohno
We have two mortgages on our house, the second one was taken so we didn't have to pay PMI. My DH pays the mortgage but he was out of town the week it needed to be paid. He transferred the money to my account to pay it. I accidently switched payments! So the secondary mortgage applied the extra money to the principal and the principal mortgage is showing a shorted payment!
Hopefully we can get this all straightened out.

Oh No is right. Is it the same bank/institution? If not, good luck getting your money back. It doesn't seem like these folks have a heart at ALL.
(Side note - I was born in St. Louis - a loooooong time ago! :-)

I think you'll be okay. Many moons ago I worked in a mortgage dept at a bank and stuff like that happened sometimes and we could reverse mtg. payments. Mistakes happen.
