    Smile Hi all!! Newbie here...

Hi everyone, I have been lurking for a while but decided to go ahead and jump in. I have been reading trying to get some help with my situation and debt because it is sooo confusing and overwhelming for me to think about it sometimes but I am excited and ready to get this under control. You all are an inspiration!!

:Welcome2: If you have any questions you can always ask. There are a lot of helpful and knowledgeable people here. I recommend Dave Ramsey TMMO. That helped me get organized and feel less overwhelmed.

    Hi and Welcome!!

It is scary to finally face what we fear. But that's a brave first step, congrats!!

Best thing I can recommend is to read as much as you can about saving money, eliminating debt, and slashing costs. A ton of info on here and free at the library. When you know you have a plan it's not near as scary and can be down right exciting to have a plan!!

    Best of luck.

    Bring on them baby steps...
    Step 1: done
Step 2: waiting on amount, hubby had followup colonoscopy, I had visit to ER with followup procedure
Step 3: to follow, won't know aim until things settle
Step 4: to follow, currently at 6%
    Step 5: grown child
    Step 6: huge mortgage ANNIHILATED!!
    Step 7: ahhhh....

I think that is my biggest problem, I cannot figure out my 'plan'. It seems like I cannot see the light at the end of the tunnel so to speak.

Absolutely go get Total Money Makeover from the library. It's got a step by step plan. It's hard!! But so worth it. You can do it!!

I agree it's not hard in the beginning but you can cut corners and stick with a budget... it may not be easy at first but try reading the TMMO it helps alot!

    Hi and welcome form Colorado!

Agree with the rest, Dave Ramsey's stuff is great. You will make it, just start moving and doing what you can even if is seems small, eventually the small stuff adds up and the ball is rolling!
