Screwed up the checkbook big and dh is not..
happy with me nor am I happy with myself. To the tune of over $200. Thankfully nothing will bounce but I forgot to deduct the life ins. for the last 3 months. Its an automatic withdrawel and I forgot to record it. Not a good time of yr to do this either. Christmas will be less because of it and money till the first will be less.

I've done this before myself and now I balance my checking accounts every day. Those automated withdrawls are a real time saver, but they can be a headache at times too. I'm glad nothings bouncing though.

we've all done that sort of thing......
my mistake usually ends up being that ADDED in a check instead of subtracting it....One time I did it for a 350.00 check - OUCHIE a 700.00 mistake. Fortunatley for us, although we are immensely frugal, we are of the "higher income kith", so it did not cause any problems, just headaches!
Sorry about your mistake - that's no fun at all...........betcha don't make that one again, eh?

I feel your pain..it must be the rush of the holidays, or something, as I just checked my account and it seems that I too have "forgotten" about a payment..(more like DH didn't tell me that he spent an extra 90.00 on something???) Maybe he actually went Christmas shopping on his own???

Oh well, thanks to FV and DR..I too have it covered
Don't feel down about forgetting, it's in the air!

Hey! At least nothing bounced!! One time I entered a pay deposit twice. I overdrew the account and had to pay over $100 in fees. Yuck!
