Opening an online account,,,,
One of my resolutions is to open an online account for our emergency fund and car fund. I know there is a way to get some $$$ for opening on ING, but I don't see it on their website. Any advise?

I think you need to get a referral from someone who already has an account. When you sign up, you put their name into the referral field, and I *think* you will get $25 and the referrer will get $10. Maybe someone will come along who has done this recently.

I can PM you a referral if you like and you will get money in your account!

A couple of months ago I had received an offer in the mail to open up an ING account and get a bonus of $25 using the code in the offer. So I did it. It was easy and pretty quick and I have $25 more in my account than I had planned to put in.

I've had ING for about a year now, they have been pretty good, at least I haven't had any problems...

You have to have an additional bank account where you can transfer money from into your ING account. It seems to work out pretty good, the interest rate is 4.05% for me right now, but it does take a few days to get your money so if there's an emergency you cannot get to it right away (usually takes 2-3 business days)
