    Cool Just finished my EF!!

I've been working at Dave's plan for about 6 weeks now. I have a $1000 EF that I just finished funding today!!

I also put $2000 away for my 2008 vacation. It's already partially paid-for so not going isn't an option and vacations are where I tend to forget that I'm actually spending money. Not this year. I'm paying cash. Yay!

I have some left to start my debt snowball too, but need to figure out where I'm going to put it. I will probably just follow Dave to the letter and knock out the smaller debt first.

Way to go! I know you are going to enjoy your vacation especially because it will be paid for with cash.

Great job! A story for you: right after I read Total Money Makeover, I finished funding my EF and my envelopes, and not even a week later my car slid off the road in a snowstorm, and I broke off my side-view mirror on some guy's mailbox. I kid you not, my first thought was not "am I OK" or "oh my god" - it was "it's okay, I can afford this." That's how deeply the philosophy sunk into my psyche!

    Good luck with everything!
