Auto Insurance Increase
So I got my first statement for the New Year for our auto insurance....it increased by 25$ a month!! I knew Zac had gotten a speeding ticket
, so I knew that was part of it, but I still called to find out what all was effecting it. Apparently, the storage insurance on the Spectra hadn't carried over correctly (we don't drive it since Zac is in Iraq), and they had incorrectly calculated the amount of miles that I drive to work!
Because I called, the agent reworked my plan a bit and it has only been raised by 9$ instead of 25$!

My water bill went up, my cable bill went up, gas has gone up, insurance has gone up....I can only stretch the .36 cent and hour cost of living raise that I got so far.

We live in a mining city.Men that work for the mine make good money.I swear the city gears its taxes and utilities according to what the miners make and not the average person.Everything goes up except wages ahhhhhhhh

Car insurance increase
I am re-evaluating all of our insurance (cars, RV, home) after we received our car insurance bill that went up $600! I had an accident last year, first ever, and although the police could not determine fault, my insurer found me at fault. Of course, they never told me that and never informed me of the rate increase. I found out when opening the bill.
Now that I am doing comparisons of all of our coverage, I am learning that we have been getting bilked by them. We assumed that the discount through our employer and the bundled coverage made them the best choice. How unfortunate that we never did a comparison until now.
We will save over $1000 a year by switching to more competitive carriers -- even with my accident!

Glad you got on top of it and got it corrected, good job!
But yes, you name it, it's gone up this year, our vehicle insurance, our farm coverage, our taxes, sigh, not a break in sight.
