Help with money management...
I've searched this site and the net for some way to keep track of my finances. I don't do very well with computer programs, I'm a pencil and paper type person.
So for those who don't use computer programs, how do you keep track of your money? Do you use a particular format?
I really have to figure this out...lol

I go onto Dave Ramsey's website (www.daveramsey.com) and he has budget forms you can print for free. I use the Monthly Cash Flow plan and, because I am paid twice a month, I do one sheet for each paycheck.
They are awesome. I've been using them for 2 months now and have noticed that (1) I'm not even close to overdrawing my account, where in times past I would accidentally overdraw just because I wasn't paying enough attention, (2) I am able to find any "extra" money in my budget and that helps me apply it to debt.
Hope this helps!

I like to use paper and pencil too. I keep track in my check book register (every withdrawl, deposit, or check I use) I also keep a composition book that I budget my money in each month to the penny and put down any spending or projected spending for gifts, haircuts, or clothes that month.
If I know I want something for myself I add it to a page in my journal and I figure out how to budget the item with my current finances.

I balance my checkbook daily. I also use MS word to keep
track of things like tax deductions, and credit cards due...
I pin the doc to my desktop for easy access and to remind me...
I am also frugal!!!
