Dh did the taxes yesterday and all...
of our refund will be put on the c.c. We only have one but the balance is high. It got high when my mom died and then ods went off to college. With putting all the refund on the c.c we will cut the balance by 1/3. Wish it were more but its a good start

That's great!!! I am going to do the same when the tax return comes in. I'm still waiting for all the W-2 paperwork to show up. I will pay off 1 credit card in full and another over half and the 3rd....... well that's another couple of years still.

Congrats and good thinking... we're going to be lucky if we don't have to pay because of the health insurance fines... blah... don't get me started

That's great! It's cool to be able to apply a lump sum payment to a cc. Now your snowball will have even more power!
I'm still waiting on the W-2. I probably won't get my taxes done until March...but we'll see!

Good for you. That's very smart thinking.
" May we never let the things we can’t have or don’t have or shouldn’t have spoil our enjoyment of the things we do have and can have. As we value our happiness, let us not forget it. One of the greatest lessons in life is learning to be happy without the things we cannot or should not have."

Good for you! I'm putting our refund to the same use. Paying one card off (and CUTTING it UP!), some to EF, some to play catch up with my bathroom fund, and the rest to the oil man. Blech. Not a lot of fun, but better than having that
debt!

Wow, good for you. Smart thinking! If we get one, it will go on the mortgage. We don't usually get all our paperwork to us till mid Feb, so we won't file for a while yet.
